THE Mahuki digital innovation programme presentation was held at the Invercargill Brewery on Tuesday.

Mahuki is Te Papa museum’s innovation accelerator programme focused on global opportunities in the cultural sector. Its goal is to support cultural institutions to innovate and remain relevant in an increasingly digital world.

The in-residence programme runs for four months each year in Te Papa’s purpose-built innovation space in New Zealand’s national museum in Wellington.

Applications for this year’s programme open on May 28 and close on July 4 and are open to anyone with an idea or solution that relates to one of the challenges facing cultural institutions.

Successful applicants will begin the programme in August.
