TE ANAU Helicopter Services owners Gaven and Jennie Burgess have added to their business by recently buying Milford Helicopters.
The couple said they felt privileged to be taking over from Jeff and Natalie Shanks, of Te Anau, who had put 30 years of dedicated work into the business which operated in Fiordland and Milford Sound.
Originally from Southland, the Burgess’s moved to Te Anau 12 years ago.
They had been operating Te Anau Helicopter Services out of Te Anau Airport for the past six years along with Stewart Island Helicopters from their Te Anau base until mid-2019, when a Bluff Heliport was established.
“There have been some hard times over the past six years, but overall really great times. We have a fantastic team here and without all of you helping us, whether it be as a customer or support business we wouldn’t be able to achieve this,” Mrs Burgess said.
The company now had six pilots as well as administration and support staff. The Burgess’s had been anticipating the move to Alert Level 2 and were looking forward to getting the business up and running again.
“In the foreseeable future, life will be very different for aviation in New Zealand but we are all hoping everyone can get back to normal as soon as possible,” Mrs Burgess said.Nike air jordan SneakersAir Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Board of Governors” White/Black-Royal Blue
