EXPECTANT mothers in Invercargill will have another option when it comes to midwives with the opening of a new midwifery practice last weekend.

Bloom Maternity officially opened its doors for business last weekend. Lisa Rabbidge, Amy Darragh and Melanie McTainsh, who between them have more than 30 years’ experience as midwives opened their practice on 478 Dee St.

According to Ms McTainsh it is the only such practice in that part of Invercargill and they hope to take advantage of passing traffic.

There are two clinic rooms where patients can be seen. Antenatal classes, education sessions, help with breast feeding as well as free pregnancy testing will be among the services offered.

“A patient gets to deal with all three of us, so it’s not a big surprise who turns up at the delivery,” Ms McTainsh said.

All three had previously worked together, so opening the practice was a logical next step.best Running shoes brand30 Winter Outfit Ideas to Kill It in 2020 – Fashion Inspiration and Discovery
