Southlanders have been buying milk from the vending machine at Farm Fresh South since September 23.

Farm Fresh South, located just south of Woodlands on the Woodlands-Invercargill highway, was started by Logan and Melissa Johnson this year.

Mr Johnson said he topped up a chilled 300-litre tank daily, which fed into the vending machine.

“On Friday we almost ran out – I had only 20 litres left, so we must have sold about 270 litres that day.”

Customer Rachael Blyth said the milk “makes coffee taste 10 times better than normal… my kids love it, even my daughter had a drink of hot chocolate and said it makes all the flavour stand out even more”.

The milk costs $3 a litre, or $2.50 for “VIP customers” who bought a pay key (like a USB stick) for $15. For more information, go to www.farmfreshsouth.nz
