SOUTHLAND Farm Machinery staff have finalised plans to rebuild on their North Rd site and expect building to start in July next year.
Group manager Carey Briar said the site was mostly cleared now and the company was due to start working through the tendering and building consent process
Southland Farm Machinery rose from the ashes after a massive fire gutted its Invercargill base on North Rd at the end of July last year.
The business moved to the former Case Agricentre building at 243 Dee St.
Mr Briar said it was a tight squeeze in that building, with only centimetres to spare between the showroom ceiling and display tractors, with the biggest tractors unable to fit inside.
