STAGE one of Pak’nSave Invercargill’s refurbishment has recently been completed, and is part of a 1600m expansion.
The first stage was planned to include a new modernised entrance and an expansion of both the produce and butchery departments.
The Dobson family took over the store 28 years ago and had since been providing for the Southland community; the store’s first major refurb since it was built was being overseen by brothers Jason and Matthew.
Pak’nSave Invercargill operations manager Jason Dobson said the team was excited to deliver a refreshed shopping experience for its customers.
“The Southland community have been incredibly supportive throughout the refurbishment to date, and we appreciate their support throughout the remaining 18 months of the refurbishment. We’re pleased with completing stage one and I know our customers will be as well. The best is yet to come.”
Stage two was under way and customers would see construction begin, increasing the space of the store’s bakery and seafood departments – a large amount of the store’s seafood on offer was caught or reared locally.
