Three Bean Cafe is moving to the new premises on the ground floor of the Don St business/retail house.

The cafe is expected to open the week of October 2.

“I am feeling really excited. Nervous, obviously. It’s a new thing. But it is a great venue,” Ms Storey said.

“Three Bean has been my baby for six years, but I am really excited [about the new business].”

To coincide with its new location, the business had been renamed The Auction House Cafe and Bar.

As well as providing breakfast and lunch, the cafe would also have a liquor licence and open for dinner five nights a week.

The new, larger premises would cater for 80 people inside and 46 in the north-facing courtyard, she said.

“The north-facing courtyard is a real advantage. There are not many places in Invercargill where you can sit outside like this.”

Twelve additional kitchen and waiting staff had been employed.
