A view of the inner-city block demolition, from Tay to Esk Sts, and Kelvin to Dee Sts, in Invercargill, taken from the top of the Kelvin Hotel in Kelvin St.
The buildings are being demolished to make way for the new Invercargill Central Development.
The total project is expected to take between three to five years to complete.
Developers say the build will create between 400 to 500 jobs during the development phase with the total cost expected to be about $200 million.
