Event facilitator Julie Moynihan said the Dance Unity public event organised for Friday, September 1, was based on the worldwide ecstatic dance movement.
“It is a free form dance and movement journey which lets you express yourself through music…. What makes this dance special is that there is no alcohol, shoes and there is no talking on the dance floor. It is all about movement, and people don’t have to be experienced dancers,” she said.
Special guests will be Sarsha Hope, from Ecstatic Dance Queenstown, Damian Chaparro (DJ Djamaste), of Aro Ha retreat, and Sandi Murphy, from Nadi Yoga wellness centre.
The event will involve a yoga session, ecstatic dance and relaxation.
