TRUSTEES are being sought for Gore’s country music festival trust.
Trust board chairman Jeff Rea said the New Zealand Country Music Festival Trust was looking for additional trustees with proven governance experience to volunteer their time to create the New Zealand Country Music Festival – Tussock Country
“We welcome applications for the position of trustee from throughout New Zealand,” he said.
“The trust’s vision is to create a high-quality New Zealand country music festival held annually in Gore that is internationally recognised and provides an economic and social return.”
Although the 2020 festival, which had 32 events scheduled, was cancelled due to Covid-19, planning was already under way for 2021.
It was hoped applicants would have private sector or music industry governance, experience with economic development agencies or financial management.
They may have worked within the event management industry or been involved with tourism and product development or in the volunteer sector with community capacity building.
The Board of Trustees met a minimum of eight times a year.
Candidates could request additional information by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The closing date for applications was 5pm on June 10.
