UP to 107 original outfits were strutted along the catwalk in the Southern Institute of Technology’s Hansen Hall as part of the annual Chrysalis – Fusion SIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design and Technology) Graduate Fashion Show last week.
Presented by 14 SIT fashion students, the popular annual fashion show gave them an opportunity to show off their diverse work to friends and family, as well as potential employers, in the seven sections including Open, Production, Specialised Pattern Making, Corset and Knitwear, Unconventional, Competition and Costume as well as the five Graduate Collections.
Master of ceremonies Daniel Tawaroa said 30 models showcased the “original outfits”, which had been created from the beginning of the year… by students of all year levels which covered a range of styles.
Beauty therapy and hairdressing students also contributed to the show.
