A SOUTHERN artist with Southland connections will exhibit some of her work in Orepuki this week.
Held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the bright and colourful exhibition will be held in a newly built barn near the cafe.
Wanaka-based artists Susie Ruddenklau and Jo Nimmo’s Living Images will feature a variety of original paintings including in watercolour and acrylics.
Ruddenklau has spent plenty of time in Southland and loved living in the region.
“It was a pretty important time of my life really.”
Her work was reasonably representational and was all about people and landscapes in her life.
Among the landscapes were depictions of nearby Gemstone Beach.
“It’s going to be heaps of fun.”
The exhibition opens on Friday at 6.30pm at 45 Mullans Rd. It will be open from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sunday.
