THE campest cult classic of all time is coming to Invercargill – and you can even do the Time Warp at a midnight screening.

Pull on your fishnet stockings and bring your knees in tight with two singalong screenings of Sir Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show, starring the legendary Tim Curry as Dr Frank N Furter, Susan Sarandon as Janet, and Meatloaf as Eddie.

The House Series presents the fan favourite as you’ve never seen it before at Repertory House on Saturday, with screenings at 8.30pm and the traditional midnight.

The House Series organiser Jade Gillies said the Rocky Horror singalong was a great opportunity for people to dress up in their favourite show costume – the crazier the better
-and join in an action-packed singalong from another dimension.

“These singalongs are a worldwide sensation. People love dressing up and becoming their favourite characters in this much-loved Kiwi-inspired classic,” Gillies said.

“You can also just dress up as your version of a Transylvanian.”

The musical will be screened with subtitles so everyone can sing along with the onscreen characters.

Local performers will also be playing the famous parts to help the audience lose
control.

Included in the ticket price is a goody bag with everything needed to attend the Transylvanian Convention over at the Frankenstein place.

Prepurchased tickets are available through www.thehouseseries.co.nz, or at the door on the night (if not sold out prior).
