    Dress code – overalls and side-burns: Southern Suzuki staff and clients, who won best dressed at A Night with Guy Martin & the Boys, which was hosted by the Southland Motorcycle Club as part of the four day Burt Munro Challenge, at Bill Richardson Transport World.

    MORE than 600 motorcycling enthusiasts poured into Bill Richardson Transport World on Wednesday, November 23, to hear international racing motorcyclist and media personality Guy Martin and other prominent motorcyclists from various genres tell their stories.

    Hosted by the Southland Motorcycle Club as a warm-up to the four day Burt Munro Challenge, event organiser Garry Jamieson, said as well as Martin, from the UK, other speakers included former MX1 world number two and New Zealand motocross legend Josh Coppins, Australian double amputee motorcyclist Alan Kempster, six times Australian superbike champion Robbie Phillis, nine times New Zealand superbike champion Tony Rees and world superbike superstar Aaron Slight. Unfortunately, rising motocross star Courtney Duncan who was billed to speak couldn’t attend due to health setbacks.

    A fundraising auction was also held with the proceeds to St John Ambulance.
