Anzac services 2022

    AWARUA/2ND NZEF:
    10am:
    Due to limits on the numbers of people our building is allowed, the 2nd NZEF Club and the Awarua RSA wish to advise that they will be holding a members’ only private Anzacservice at the club (177 Don St).

    Entry will be by membership cards (RSA and 2NZEF) only.

    BLUFF:
    Dawn Service:
    Assemble on Flagstaff Rd below the Memorial Grove at 6.45am (7am start).

    Cenotaph Service: Assemble at the Bluff 4 Square at 10.30am. March to war memorial begins at 11am.

    DIPTON:
    10am:
    Service at the Dipton Memorial Hall.

    DRUMMOND:

    8.15am: Service at the War Memorial (if wet, Drummond Primary School).
    Speaker: Clutha/Southland MP Joseph Mooney. All welcome.

    EDENDALE:
    8am:
    The public is invited to the Edendale Anzac Day Service at the war memorial. Parade to assemble at the baths at 7.45am.

    FIRST CHURCH:
    April 24, 10am:
    Anzac Service, “We will remember them”.

    INVERCARGILL:
    7am:
    Stand at your gate dawn – no dawn service at the Cenotaph this year. Pre-recorded service will be streamed at https://livestream.com/accounts/10730215/events/10289726

    Service will be held at the Senior Citizens rooms. Members of the public are asked to assemble at the Senior Citizens Rooms from 6.45am.

    MYROSS BUSH:
    10am:
    Myross Bush Memorial Hall, Mill Road, Myross Bush. Guest speaker Ann Robbie.

    NIGHTCAPS/OHAI:
    9am:
    Cenotaph for raising of the flag and wreath laying.

    ORAWIA:
    7am: Dawn Service at the cenotaph.

    RIVERTON:
    7am:
    Dawn Service at the war memorial next to Te Hikoi Museum.

    SEAWARD DOWNS:
    11am:
    Wreath laying.

    TE ANAU:
    7am:
    Special Dawn Service at the Anzac reserve. This is by invitation only due to Covid. Service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page for those who can’t attend. Chaplain Stevenson.

    Those who cannot view the livestream are encouraged to stand at their gate at 7am as a way of paying respects.

    TUATAPERE:
    10am:
    Service outside the Tuatapere Memorial Library

    WINTON:
    7am:
    Service at the Anzac Oval. Wreath bearers are asked to report to the band rotunda at 6.50am.

    WOODLANDS:
    7.45am: Assemble at the Woodlands Garage for 8am service.

    Morning tea to follow, please bring a plate.
