The beginning of the week saw Southland turn into a wintry wonderland, but warmer – and wet – weather is headed our way for the weekend.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern visited Invercargill on Monday and her first stop was the Murihiku Marae, which was blanketed in snow.
Several Southland roads were closed during the week, however most were at a higher altitude. Invercargill experienced snow flurries but it was the outlying areas of the region where the snow really impacted on everyday life. Photo: Laura Smith
