THIS year, TradeQual is celebrating the region’s trade training graduates for the 12th year at a recognition dinner. The event is made possible with the support from its loyal sponsors, including principal sponsor NZCU South.
This event continues to grow, with 72 graduates to be recognised this year.
Event co-ordinator Dave McKissock said the trades were the backbone of the Southland economy and the continued increase in the number of graduates showed career opportunities in the region were still there.
“It shows the trades sector is providing opportunities for young people to get into apprenticeships and trades.”
People of all ages should consider entering the trades industry as it often led to alternative careers such as teaching, managerial roles in production plants or setting up and running businesses, Mr McKissock said.Sports ShoesWomens Shoes Footwear & Shoes Online
