Southland Holden Enthusiasts Club president Dean Cousins said 205 people, with 53 cars, registered for the 2017 Aussie Crawl, which left from Queens Park Feldwick Gates, in Invercargill, on Saturday, June 17.

Participants in the two-day run drove to Te Anau, with stops at the Makarewa Country Club, Gore Town and Country Club and the Riversdale and Mossburn Hotels.

They returned to Invercargill on Sunday, some via Western Southland with a lunch stop at the Last Light Cafe in Tuatapere.

Voucher prizes were given for best dressed (won by the five “Ronald McDonalds”, who ordered their clown from England especially for the event), best Holden, best Valiant and best Ford Falcon.

A publican’s choice prize for some categories was also awarded at each of the taverns along the way.

Mr Cousins said anyone with a passion for Holdens could go to www.southlandholden club.co.nz.
