FIRE training was one of the major topics covered at the annual Southland Sports Car Club (SSCC) marshal raining day held at Teretonga Park, near Invercargill, last Sunday.
SSCC publicity officer Lindsay Beer said 33 marshals took part in the day with Motorsport New Zealand board member Nick Hamlin, who spoke on various motor sport-related matters.
As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to training, “the committee was keen to hear from anyone who may be interested in volunteering to assist at events at Teretonga Park”, Mr Beer said.
“Most of the events held at Teretonga Park each year, requiring volunteer assistance, run from August to April.
“No matter what your skill set, there is a role for you.”
