Bluff the place to be for school holiday fun


BLUFF children are in for a treat these school holidays with a Fun In Bluff School Holiday event.

Hosted by Invercargill City Libraries and Archives, the event on Wednesday, July 15, will feature a range of activities, craft, stories and fun at the Senior Citizens Rooms, 10 Onslow St, Bluff.

From 10.30am to noon, children have a choice of activities including crafting stars – cutting out and colouring stars for canvases, Matariki star jars and making rewena bread and preparing vegetables for the shared kai (food) at lunchtime.

From noon to 1pm there will be karakia (prayer) with Ra Dallas and shared kai, while from 1pm to 3pm there will be Maori craft with Jay Coote from Sport Southland, wool weaving stars and story time.

Lunch will be included and there was no cost.

Registrations were not required.
