SOUTHLANDERS will have the opportunity to meet Invercargill and Southland candidates ahead of the September election.
Next Monday, from 7pm-9pm, voters would come face-to-face with candidates for the Southland District at Lumsden Senior Citizen’s Hall.
Speakers would include Green Party candidate Dave Kennedy, Labour’s Jon Mitchell and National’s Joseph Mooney.
For the Te Tai Tonga electorate, Labour candidate Rino Tirikatene and Maori Party candidate Takuta Ferris had been invited, however it had not yet been confirmed if they would attend.
Candidates for the Invercargill and Southland electorates would also be available for a question and answer session on Tuesday, August 11, from 7.30pm at the Pacific Island Advisory and Cultural Trust Hall, in Invercargill.
Hosted by the National Council of Women Southland, there would be a gold coin entry fee and a supper would follow.
Invitations were sent to all the candidates from the Invercargill and Southland electorates.
