SUBSCRIPTION prices to the Fiordland Community Swimming Pool have been cut by 30% due to the economic impacts of Covid-19.

The Te Anau pool would reopen on Sunday, September 27, from 1pm to 2pm, with the official opening on Monday, September 28.

As the pool committee wasn’t sure whether the South Island would be in Alert Level 1 next week, president Paul Young said it was preparing to operate under Alert Level 2 guidelines.

The committee also recognised the economic effects Covid-19 had on the community.

“We are pleased to advise that subscriptions have been reduced by 30% for the upcoming 2020-2021 season, with a payment plan option by prior arrangement.”
