THE Hideaway 201 Restaurant and Bar is preparing a special treat for beer, wine and food lovers on Friday, July 28.

The International Beer and Wine Festival will feature beverages and food from different countries including Ireland, Mexico, Canada, Japan and Thailand.

The Hideaway 201 bar manager Tajinder Singh (TJ) said they were excited about holding this event.

It is a great chance for people from Southland to try something they can’t buy here in the supermarket and experience every day.”

The food would be served according to the chosen type of beer and wine.

“Our head chef has over 25 years of experience and our staff will prepare all the food on the premises. There will also be a live station set outside with a roast lamb on a spit,” he said.

“We try to look outside of the box and our main idea is to offer something different from other restaurants.”

Restaurant owner Joanne McCallum said the price of the ticket included entry, food, entertainment and pick up and drop off.

“It will be a special night and a great experience for all the guests at The Hideaway 201. Dress up as your favourite country to win,” she said.
