Brick show ‘bigger and better’

Southland Brick Show co-organiser and Lego Users Group South secretary Gavin Evans.

THE fifth Southland Brick Show will be held at the Ascot Park Hotel next weekend.

Lego Users Group South secretary and show co-organiser Gavin Evans said the event would be bigger and better than in previous years.

“One of the highlights of this year’s show is a 18m-long train loop with cameras on the train which will be broadcasting out to the video screen. There will also be interactive displays, a huge play area with thousands of bricks, radio-controlled Lego cars and much more,” he said.

Mr Evans said there would be 58 tables with “amazing” installations on display.

“The public will have the chance to enter two competitions for Lego prizes and one lucky visitor will be able to win a Lego Ultimate Collectors Series Millennium Falcon, which will be a raffle prize.”

Proceeds from the event will be used to support Southland children with health issues.
