SUGAR, several cups of flour and a lot of imagination is what it takes to create a gingerbread house masterpiece.
Invercargill resident Eva van Eeden spent about four weeks creating her gingerbread village.
The architectural student is among 50 people taking part in the Invercargill Gingerbread House Competition at H&J Smith.
Mrs van Eeden said it was only her second attempt at making a gingerbread house.
“I never had done anything like this before, but in 2018 I decided to create a design to support the contest and the cause.
“This year it went bigger than predicted,” she said.
Her favourite part of the process was decorating it with icing.
“It is quite fun.”
Members of the public would be able to see the display upstairs in Invercargill’s H & J Smith and vote for their favourite creation until January 8.url cloneNew Release Air Jordan 30 XXX “Photo Blue” Accented PE, Price: $87.71 – Jordan Shoes, Nike Shoes
