WHETHER it is beautiful blooms or marvels from the vegetable patch, the 53rd Te Anau District Autumn Flower Show is set to showcase gardening talent next month.

Exhibitors could enter several varieties of blooms in classes for floral art, dahlias/roses, cut flowers, vegetables and a children’s section.

People could also enter the baking/preserves, handicrafts and photography sections as well as decorated cakes in the kitchen delights section.

All decorated cakes would be sold by silent auction with proceeds going to the foodbank in Te Anau.

“Bring Your Best Bloom” was a new competition in the dahlia section, displayed in a frame provided by the Te Anau Flower Show Committee.

The class had attracted 12 entries and the committee was delighted with the number.

Schedules were available from Mitre 10, Te Anau Four Square, Te Anau Library, Fresh Choice, Jade Country and the Fiordland Nursery.
