Get a crash course in salsa dancing

WANT to learn the salsa?

Latin Dance Invercargill is offering a salsa beginners crash course for all those wanting to try the popular Latin dance.

Salsa teacher and event co-organiser Ray Duncan said it was good exercise and good for the mind, but it was all about having fun.

“People that stick around are people who love music and who don’t mind trying new things. This easy-to-follow introduction to salsa dancing would get everyone ready for the salsa party of the year on Saturday, October 7, in Barluca, when we are celebrating our dance studio’s sixth birthday,” Mr Duncan said.

Fellow teacher and event co-organiser Reece Dennison said the group had a lot of people on the waiting list for a long time, so this course was a chance for them to give it a go.

“Those who participate in this course and want to carry on dancing are welcome to come to our social dancing nights in Barluca on Thursdays from 8pm,” Mr Dennison said.

To register for the salsa beginners crash course, phone or text Mr Dennison on 0274 350 339 or Mr Duncan on 0274 488 956. Limited spaces are available.
