RESIDENTS wanting to suggest changes for Invercargill have the rest of the month to voice their ideas.
The Invercargill City Council (ICC) launched its “Imagine Invercargill” website this month for residents to have their say on how to enhance the city.
ICC policy analyst Anna Goble said the council was draughting it’s Long Term Plan and was asking the opinions of local people who previously hadn’t been involved in the planning process.
The website had proved popular and a list of ideas was being finalised, she said.
“There’s been a whole mixture [of ideas], such as new parking meters and improving the [swimming] pool, to things such as more trees around the city, a more vibrant nightlife, covering Esk St and other things like street murals.”
The website will be active until the end of September when ideas will be put before council and voted on.
