Rotary sale has something for all

Aparima Rotary Club publicity officer Diane Wilson is looking forward to welcoming patrons to the pop-up garage sale at the Red Barn in Riverton on Sunday.

THE Aparima Rotary Club will hold its first pop-up garage sale this Sunday.

Publicity officer Diane Wilson said it was to substitute for the club’s annual garage sale, supposed to be held at Labour Weekend.

“This year we weren’t able to hold our usual garage sale because of the Covid-19 restrictions.

“So we are excited to be hosting the pop-up garage sale and we are looking forward to seeing a lot of people.”

Donated items ranged from books, bric-a-brac assortments, glasswares, appliances and furniture.

“We’ve got a lot of treasures and there will be a bargain for everyone.”

Funds raised on the day will be used by the Rotary Club to distribute within the community.

Alert Level 2 restrictions will be in place which mean visitors will have to sign in at the door, sanitise and wear a mask.

The club was also looking forward to the Annual Food Drive on December 1 which will run from 6pm onwards, she said.
