THE Southland Woodworkers Guild, at 5 Mary St, will hold an open day on Saturday, February 24, from 9.30am to 2.30pm, for anyone wanting to learn some woodworking skills.
Woodworker Bev Wilson has been going to the guild for 12 years.
“Everyone here has got experience and skills in woodwork, so it’s a great place to come and learn and it is also very relaxing,” she said.
Amber Ward said she liked going to the guild as members were very approachable and friendly and she could gain a lot of knowledge. The membership fee is $60 a year.
