Pony rides, free photos with Santa, a Big Dig and a choir singing carols outside the St Stephen’s Presbyterian Church Hall are some of the activities planned for the inaugural Waikiwi Community Christmas Fair, which will be held throughout the Waikiwi shopping centre on Saturday, December 2.

Organisers said it will be a family friendly community event to celebrate everything Waikiwi had to offer.

As well as food and craft stalls with Christmas baking products and homemade toys, there will also be plenty to keep the children busy with face painting, bouncy castle and colouring competition with prizes to win.

A fundraiser for Hospice Southland, the event will be supported by 13 participating business, with in-store specials and dicounts specially planned for the day.
