WINTON’S Mitre 10 store has romped away with Mitre 10 franchise accolades, winning
the brand’s ‘‘With You All the Way’’ challenge for best customer experience — leaving the other 83 stores around the country in the dust.

Winton store owner Craig Flynn said he was ‘‘over the moon’’ with his team.

‘‘We were sort of blown away to win it … I’m really proud of the team for what they have done.

‘‘I thanked them because their heart is not only in their job but in our business, so it all
helps.’’

He believed a culture of excellent customer service had been embraced by the store’s staff since the store opened, Mr Flynn said.

‘‘All our team members are fully focused. We focus on helping our customers.’’

Two team members, Corina Somerville and Courtney Harding, led the store’s effort in the challenge and helped keep the rest of the staff focused as a team.

‘‘It certainly helped us achieve what we achieved. But it is also something we’ve been
doing for the last 20 years anyway.’’

Living in a small town had its advantages as ‘‘we get to know the customers and what they want’’, he said.

‘‘It’s important to talk to your customers and then it sort of becomes second nature.’’
