ABOUT 5000 people attended the Ascot Park Christmas at the Races last Saturday.
Event co-ordinator Ana Corkery said it was a fantastic, successful day.
Scannable wristbands with a chip which could be loaded with currency were compulsory for all race-goers. The wristbands were scanned by staff when customers purchased food and beverages.
“We got positive feedback from the staff and race-goers and most probably we will have wristbands next year too,” Miss Corkery said.
“Each year the event is bigger and better. Planning is already in place for 2018 and we are looking forward to seeing everyone next year,” she said.
