Bluff Flower Show

Associate judge Christine Langley and judge Brian MacKenzie judge flowers at the Bluff Flower Show.

HOSTED by the Lands End Garden Club and the Southland Dahlia Circle, the Bluff Flower Show was held at Te Rau Aroha Marae last weekend.

Club promotions officer Paddy Rowe said entries were up this year although the flower section entries were down.

“There was a major surge with entries in the vegetable section, with over twice the number compared with last year. The variety, quality and size of exhibits was a surprise to us all. Entries in the floral art, handcrafts, baking and home produce were of a high quality, while there was a marked increase in entries in the children’s sections,” she said.
