New chapter: Super excited was how Skyla was feeling about starting Woodlands Full Primary School next week. According to her mum, she had been asking every day for a “long time” if she could start school. The family celebrated her birthday and she was also allowed to have her favourite takeaway food as a treat.
Although she turned 5 on Tuesday, she will start school on Monday, the same day as her great-grandmother’s birthday. Photos: Supplied
The wait is over: For Alexis Nagelkerken, who turned 5 on March 30, it was a bit of a wait until she could start her first day at Otautau Primary School on Monday.
Despite not going to conventional classes, she insisted on wearing her new school top while she completed schoolwork at home during lockdown. She was very excited when she finally had her first day on the school grounds this week.
