Mrs Olsen said the purpose of the roadshow was to bring climate change and the idea of a citizens’ assembly into election discussions.

“We’re encouraging people to question party policies and decide whether or not they’re satisfactory [when it comes to] spending money on things that are sustainable.”

The roadshow also started at Cape Reinga in the North Island on Monday and both contingents would make their way to the steps of parliament on Friday, September 25.
