About 30 people gathered to mark Armistice Day at Te Anau War Memorial last Thursday.
A commemorative wreath was laid at the memorial by Fiordland RSA member Murray Knowles, of Te Anau.
Fiordland RSA Secretary Jan Lieshout said the committee was proud to host the commemoration, “to honour our fallen, four Fiordland men and in particular this year the tribute was to Norman Clive Beer”.
Fiordland RSA president Geoff Trumper welcomed those attending and an address was given by Rev Craig Allan with piper David Pickett playing the Piper’s Lament and The Last Post. The Ode of Remembrance was delivered by John Hefford, with Mark Wilson, of Te Anau, lowering the New Zealand flag.
