ABOUT 500 people attended the third annual M.A.D Day Out at Sandy Point recently.

Hosted by MP Sarah Dowie, families took part in an obstacle course, mud pit, scavenger hunt and a mini mud pit for under 5s.

“It was great to partner with Sport Southland and Invercargill City Council Parks to bring this free, family event to our community for a third year. Sandy Point Reserve is a treasure on our back doorstep and M.A.D is a wonderful way to showcase the recreational opportunities we have so close to the city,” Ms Dowie said.
