Liv Thompson (8, left), Josephine Cartres (7), both of Te Anau, and Ethan Jenks (6), of Invercargill, show off the creations they made at Te Anau Library’s school holiday programme “Everything Socks” last week.

About 20 children created cats, dogs, polar bears, dragons, princesses, and mighty pirates and piratess puppets as part of the holiday fun.

Digital and community librarian Raewyn Patton said there were also afterschool activities during the school term, with brick club using LEGO and Flexo on Wednesdays, and a craft club every Friday afternoon. Photo: Julie Walls
