Ride to Remember finished in Bluff

After 26 days on the road, of six bikers and support crew (from left) Nancy Gernhoefer, Maurice Gernhoefer, Erin Gernhoefer, Jo Gernhoefer, Emmy Brouwers and Adrienne Fleming completed their mission the length of New Zealand to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease. They left Cape Reinga on March 1, rode 100km a day and on Monday in Bluff. “One of our goals was to raise money for Alzheimer’s and the other one was to raise awareness about this disease. Until today we raised around $8500 and the money will go to Alzheimer’s Taranaki, Dementia Waikato and Alzheimer’s New Zealand,” Emmy said.
