
THE St John’s Girls’ School Centenary Fair was held on Saturday, October 28.
Various other celebratory events including a formal school assembly, tours of the school, meet and greet get-togethers; decade, staff and boarder photos, a centennial dinner and formal cake cutting, as well as the traditional church service were also held as part of the school’s 100th celebrations throughout the weekend.

Former St John's Girls' School pupils who travelled from throughout New Zealand to attend the school's centenary celebrations (from left) Liz Winstone (nee Russell) 1952-1960, Anne Gormack (nee Russell) 1955-1963, Jenny Chapman 1951-1958 and Ros Preston (nee Russell) 1947-1955 and Liz Moggie (nee Compton) 1957-1958, who travelled from Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia, at the school's centenary Fair on Saturday.
