Charity walkers (from left) Lissie Hogg (66), of Wellington, with dog Harry, Christine Wellington (55), of Westport, and Muriel Donald (73), of Punakaiki, on the Te Araroa walking trail near Awarua on their way to Bluff last week. The women were hiking the 1400km South Island leg of the trail, from Ship’s Cove in Marlborough, having started their journey on February 20. They were raising funds for the Save the Kea conservation project. By the time they reached Invercargill they had raised $1820 for the cause.
