With the help of the community, Invercargill Rotary clubs are building the home to sell and raise money for the Breathing Space Trust, which works with the homeless in Invercargill. The house will be auctioned.
“Over the next couple of days the roof will be up and then we can start putting the windows and insulation in,” Mr McKissock said.
“This is typical Southland at its best. All sorts of people are turning up to offer their services. At the moment 64 business and companies are supporting this project, which will see the revenue going to the homeless people of Invercargill. It’s humbling to see that everybody is working together for this common cause.”
