THE Southern Pro Wrestling (SPW) crew are back in their home town of Invercargill on Saturday, October 28, for their latest show at the Invercargill Workingmen’s Club.
Halloween Haunting! would be the crew’s last Invercargill show of 2017, with SPW New Zealand heavyweight champion Powerhouse T-Rex, of Invercargill, defending his title against the winner of the 2017 Southern Rumble, JK Moody (of Invercargill-based wrestling tag team Deadly Sins). The Southern Rumble attracted a crowd of more than 600 supporters at the Invercargill Workingmen’s Club on July 22.
“Hooligan” Marcus Kool, of England, who was invited to take part in a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) try-out in Melbourne in December, will take on Australian pro-wrestling star Mr Juicy, of Melbourne.
An SPW spokesman said there would also be a fancy-dress competition on the night for everyone wanting to take part.
“We will have prizes for adults and kids, so get planning your costume now.”
The doors would open at 6pm and bell time (start) would be at 7pm, with the event finishing about 9.30pm, he said.
Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for under-18s. A front row ticket is $20, but are only available online.
Tickets can be purchased from www.eventfinda.co.nz, or at the Invercargill Workingmen’s Club. A limited amount of tickets would be available at the door.
