SOUTHLAND husband-and-wife archers Adam Kaluzny and Agata Kaluzna collected three medals between them at the 2017 World Masters’ Games held in Auckland last month.
“I’m really happy with my score achieved at the competition. I improved my personal best by 60 points and it was a great result,” Kaluzny, who won two gold medals in the 40-49 age group, said.
Kaluzna won bronze in the 40-49 age group.
The couple moved from Poland to New Zealand about 10 years ago and this was their first time representing New Zealand at an international competition.
“We participated in the competition as members of the Southland Archery Club, which gave us a lot of support. We met a lot of people from all over the world and had a chance to shoot with great archers,” Kaluzna said.
“Competition was hard and we tried to prepare as best as we could,” Kaluzny said.
