Two hundred spectators turned up for the National Amateur Body Builders Association (NABBA) bodybuilding competition held in Invercargill last Saturday.
Sixteen competitors from throughout New Zealand strutted their stuff in 10 categories.
“We were very happy with the event,” NABBA Southland Bodybuilding Championships area representative Judy Duggan said. “Feedback is great. Two hundred people came to see the competition in Invercargill.”
The championships were open to beginner and advanced bodybuilders at junior to master levels and NABBA was impressed with the 16 high-quality athletes, she said.
“We will have the show in Invercargill again next year. We are glad that a few people who came to see this show got familiarised with the categories and expressed their interest in competing.”
