ENTRIES for the 2020 Rakiura Challenge will open at noon on Monday.
Up to 250 runners will have the opportunity to race the 32km in the event’s second year Rakiura Great Walk usually takes two or three days to walk.
Event manager Morgan Shepherd said he hoped to run the event the same as last year, “provided the Government does not move the country back up the Alert Level system”.
Those taking part in the run would be able to experience historic trails, colonial logging sites, bush and beaches.
The trail run will be held on Rakiura/Stewart Island on October 3.
Registration is $290, which covered meals on the Friday and Saturday nights, an event t-shirt, and transport to the start line.
