PAST and present cyclists will get together at a reunion at the Ascot Park Hotel on November 12.

Event organiser Peter Robinson said they held a small function earlier this year.

“We are planning something more substantial for this social gathering. When time goes by people drift apart, so it will be great to get back together and talk about old times, current affairs and what is going on with the sport at the moment,” he said.

His brother and co-organiser Ray said it would be a reunion of predominantly local cyclists.

“Anyone interested in cycling is welcome to join in. We want to share the time together and support each other.

“Our generation did a lot of cycling. It was almost a year-round activity but in different disciplines of the sport. You mix together and play together, so we thought it was about a time to get together again,” he said.

A guest speaker prominent in cycling will speak at the event.
