Deep South Archery was formed in 2015 by Archery New Zealand registered development coach Adrian Ayto, of Invercargill.
Mr Ayto said the group had 12 secondary school pupils in regular attendance.
He had sponsored six of them with equipment to get them to the next stage of competing in the sport.
He was also hoping to be able to support para-archers at the club in future and a special frame was being built to hold the bow for these archers, he said.
The Hockey Southland clubrooms, where the group had been meeting since last month, had wheelchair access, whereas the former premises used by the group had only been accessible via several flights of stairs.
