Kids urged to have a go

The 21st Total Life Kids TRYathlon will be held on Sunday.

LAST-MINUTE entries are being called for with registrations to the 21st Total Life Kids TRYathlon closing tomorrow.

The event, held on Sunday, will see children complete a pool swim or by a multi-lap off-road bike or scoot and a run course through Rugby Park, in Invercargill.

Southland Triathlon and Multisport Club events co-ordinator Emily Moreton said it was a big year to celebrate.

“The cool thing about it is we’ve had the same sponsor the whole time.”

She said they hoped about 300 children would take part in the event.

It was not a race, and the event aimed to get kids giving it a go, she said.

Entries can either be as an individual or as a team, in a variety of ability levels.

To register, email or complete a manual entry at Wensley’s Cycles, H&J Outdoor World and Sport Southland.
